I have a couple of Christmas pictures to post tomorrow. Sorry for those of you who have checked the blog without any new "stuff." I know that can be disappointing!! It's one of my New Year's Resolutions to get better at that!
I'm finishing up my last minute projects and hope to be finished by Sunday so I can enjoy the rest of what's left of the special season!!
I'm looking to do some new things in the New Year - a small line of clothing for the Spring/Summer. I'll have samples available and hope to hold at least 2 trunk shows with about 8 set outfits for each boys and girls!! I'll still be able to applique and monogram custom orders, though!
Thanks for you support throughout these first new months!! The Lord has truly blessed me this past year and I hope to bring new wonderful products to you in the new year!! Merry Christmas to you all!!

Some of what I've been working on...
Couple of new things I've been working on. I also got a new serger - thank you, Daddy!!! It's wonderful and will make making pants and other items so much easier and more finished. Super excited about it. I hope to make a couple of things for Wyatt these next coming weeks. We'll see!!
The next 3 pictures are of a little order I did for the upcoming birth of one of my friend's niece, Madison.
And this is a picture of the little shirt for Madison's BIG BROTHER!!! Her Super Big Brother!!
A new applique - baseball glove. Appropriate for postseason, huh?!

Some new projects...
This weekend was very busy getting some orders filled and projects finished. I may not want to see another bookbag for a while, though!! I guess if I can't be AT school, then I can participate in this way. What a nerd, I know!!
This is a sweet little jon jon I made for Wyatt. I think it turned out pretty cute. I love this little sailboat applique! The font is called Mandigo.
I have some very good friends and a cousin whose children are heading to school this year. Here is what I spent my Saturday doing!!
This little outfit was SO much fun to make. These little shorts are light blue seer sucker and the applique is made of the blue seer sucker as well. The font is again Mandigo! Don't know why I'm loving this one recently.
Had a wonderful weekend just creating and filling orders. Spent some time with the in-laws and had a great time with my niece and nephew from the Bahamas. Our logo should be finished sometime in the next week or so! Pretty excited about that. Look for it on the blog soon I hope!!

We're Up and Running
So, our little business is up and running...
We've got a website now - www.thelittleazalea.com - it's a work in progress right now. I've finally gotten the business license and we've gotten our tax ID. Scary, huh?! We'll open a bank account tomorrow and we're having a friend starting to work on the logo. So exciting. I hope to have a price list and sizes, etc. listed pretty soon. Life is so busy with a 6 1/2 month old, a husband, a full time job and a business!! It's such a fun life, though!! The Lord has truly blessed me! Please enjoy some pictures and feel free to email with any questions or anything you may like to order! Here's my email: melissa@thelittleazalea.com.
Lots of things I'm working on now -- monogramming bookbags and towels for the first day of school!! How exciting. Also working on Fall/Winter samples and just other samples in general. This is so fun - I hope you'll join us!!
Little sample outfits for Ethan and Emma - my sweet little cousins. Just to try out the appliques.
A set of 10 bibs for my friend Tesha and her little boy Jake. This was a pretty fun order!
This job was such a sweet opportunity!! My friend Deborah Anne now has a 1 year old little girl! She bought the little tutu at Gymboree and we embelished it a bit with bows. I monogrammed the little bloomers and then appliqued a onesie! Too cute! Sarah Scott was truly ADORABLE!!
This was Sarah Scott's birthday present (along with her cell phone and keys)!! This is a pink striped seer sucker dress (12 months). It is lined and has her monogram. Sarah Scott will look precious!
Hope y'all have a fun look around!! Please bear with us as we grow and post more. Come back to see what's next and let us know if we can help with anything!

This is the Moment...
Okay - so my Mom and I have started our own little custom children's clothing and embroidery business. It's called the Little Azalea. We're sort of off to a slow start, but hope to be able to pick up the pace a bit. Here are some samples of things I've been working on in the past few weeks.
Pricing and more samples will hopefully be available shortly. We have a lot going on with our family right now and we hope to get organized soon! Hope you keep following us for updates!
